 On February 6, 2021 from 8-9pm, Hersey Band will be holding its 13th annual In Good Taste fundraiser virtually. This event is the second largest fundraiser of the year for the band and we desperately need to have a successful event to support future marching band and jazz activities.

This will be a fun evening that you can enjoy in your home while viewing the event online. It will consist of access to 1 hour of band programming including  performances from alumni band members, current Hersey jazz ensembles and small ensembles, a silent auction, grand raffle drawing, and if you choose, a “tasting experience” box to enjoy in your home.

Here’s how an online auction works:
  • You may view and bid on items using any device with an internet connection. On the left side of the web page, click on Silent Auction Items and then select from the menu below to view an array of packages, from sports memorabilia to fun outings.
  • To learn more about a package, click on the picture. When viewing an item you may place a bid or buy it now. You can even set a maximum bid and let the system automatically place bids on your behalf. 
  • In order to bid or purchase items, you must register on the site and create a profile with a valid credit card number. For donations and Buy now items, your credit card will be charged upon check-out. For items you are bidding on, a winner will be determined and notified (by email or text) at the end of the silent auction (Feb 6th at 9:30 PM). If you win a silent auction package, your credit card will be charged once the event closes.
  • Any bids placed online now will carry over to the night of the event.
Good luck and don’t forget – you can donate and/or participate in the silent auction even if you cannot attend the virtual event.

Tasting Experience – The tasting experience is no longer available for purchase. For those who have ordered the tasting experience, you will receive an email with details about pick up at the beginning of February.

Viewing Only– Registration for the event is now closed. A link for the event will be emailed on Saturday, Feb. 6th to those who purchased admission.

Grand Raffle Purchase

Grand Raffle Sales are now closed. The Grand Raffle drawing will take place during the event, good luck to everyone who entered!

This year’s Grand Raffle consists of three amazing prizes: 

  1. Beachhouse Getaway – a 1 week stay at Sandhill Beachhouse in Ocean Springs, MS.  The beachhouse has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and it’s own private beach on the Gulf of Mexico. ($2,275 value)
  2. Ultimate Bears Package – 2 tickets for a 2021 Chicago Bears football game (TBD).  Tailgate package includes: Weber tailgate grill, Bears canopy tent, 2 Bears chairs, Bears rolling cooler, Bears soft sided cooler and other great Bears paraphernalia. ($1,200 value)
